I am married to Jamie Dale Martin. We have been together for 16 years. God has blessed me with the most amazing man and I couldn't ask for anything more. He is my rock and my best friend. I have two children. A gorgeous 15 year old daughter, Taylor and a handsome 11 year old, Kiel (Kyle). I had them at a very young age but without them I would not be where I am today. They are my sunshine.

How did you get started planning weddings & events?
I have always loved planning birthday parties for my children and then I planned a baby shower. When I planned the baby shower I realized that I had a talent with creativity. It was an amazing shower! We had asked the mom to keep it a secret from herself when she found out what she was having. We received the results without her knowing and we planned the shower accordingly. When she came to the shower she was blind folded and brought in to find out that she was having a baby girl! I always put a lot of thought into everything I plan. I love theme parties and I love using original ideas. When Ashley asked me to join her in planning weddings and events I gladly excepted. I knew I had a lot of ideas to add to the creativity side.

What is the best advice you have received/best lesson learned?
Everything happens for a reason, "believe". Living life is about about learning the lessons as they come and growing from them. Make yourself who you are today.

Favorite thing about events?
Being able to personalize and put creativity into decor, gifts, favors, etc. Some may think I'm crazy, but I love the pressure of having to have an event decorated and everything in place and ready to go by a certain time. The best part of all is the end result and knowing the client is happy and completely satisfied.

What makes Ashley Troyer Events stand out is that the company is owned by someone that is younger so she can identify with brides. She is able to offer you options that are up to date, classic or trendy. We will go above and beyond to make everything that you ask for happen and if for some reason there is a problem, we WILL find a solution for you. We also will never turn you away because of your budget, some how we will find a way to help you, that's not common in this area. It's our niche to work with brides that have a budget.

Who's your favorite person in history?
Pedro from the Real World. He has passed, but his story is amazing. He died of AIDS, but until the day he died he did everything he could to try to educated people about AIDS.
